 Newsletter

We may store details which you provide about yourself and any information which identifies you such as your name, address, email address, telephone number (“Personal Information”) if you provide this information when subscribing to one of our newsletters.

The newsletters mostly contain listings advertising audio-described performances or tours at arts venues around the UK. Some of these will be delivered by VocalEyes audio-describers, and others independently. We may also include news and links to other organisation, that are related to our core mission – increasing access for blind and partially sighted people to arts and heritage. Some of our email newsletters include requests for online donations via JustGiving, but this is not the main aim of our newsletter.

Personal Information will not be sold, reused or passed on to any other individual or organisation.

We will use the contact information we store to send email newsletters, and print, braille or Audio CD newsletters, depending on your subscription preferences, and for no other purposes.

Audio-described performance bookers

From time to time VocalEyes may also have names and contact information supplied by one of our client theatres for the specific purpose of sending pre-performance information and resources to support their audio-described performances.

Data will only be used once and for the specific purpose. After the performance the contact information will be deleted, but we will retain a record of which bookers attended the performance (by name only).

Personal Information relating to audio-described performance bookers will not be sold, reused or passed on to any other individual or organisation.

How we protect information

We take every precaution to protect your information. To this end all Personal Information stored by us is kept on servers in a secure environment. Only employees and approved contractors we may appoint from time to time, and who need the information to perform a specific job, are granted access to personally identifiable information.
