Access Information for the Ambassadors Theatre
The address of the Ambassadors Theatre, is West St, London WC2H 9ND. It’s situated next to the St Martin’s Theatre and opposite the Ivy Restaurant.
If you are coming by car, the Q-Park Car Park in Newport Place offers a 50 percent discount to theatregoers on production of a validated parking ticket and theatre ticket. Tickets can be validated by the theatre box office.
The nearest Tube station is Leicester Square on the Piccadilly and Northern line.
Charing Cross is the closest mainline station. Bus numbers 14, 19, 24, 29, 38 and 176 stop on Charing Cross Road, near to the theatre.
There’s a small step up to the main entrance which has three sets of half glazed double doors. In the foyer, you will find the box office on the left. There are 26 steps down to the stalls auditorium, 5 up to the dress circle and 19 up to the circle bar. All staircases have handrails and steps are highlighted. Plastic drink cups may be taken into the auditorium.
The nearest Ladies toilets are 19 steps down the stairs to the stalls. Gents toilets are up a flight of 8 steps from the foyer, and 26 steps down on the stalls level. There is no accessible toilet although an accessible toilet is available in St Martin’s theatre, immediately next door.
Please note that The Ambassador’s Theatre is a Victorian building, with very little foyer space. It is not currently wheelchair accessible, but staff members are able to lift visitors up a few steps to reach the circle.

The auditorium seats almost 450 people on two levels – stalls and circle, with stepped aisles at the end of the rows. The seats flip up when not in use.

At the Ambassadors Theatre guide dogs are welcome. Guide dogs and hearing dogs are permitted in the auditorium and staff can dog sit by prior arrangement. Dogs will be looked after in the manager’s office. If you are bringing a dog please let the theatre know it advance.
