The address of the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is Exchange St, Aylesbury, HP20 1UG.
It’s situated in the town centre just across Exchange Street from the shopping areas.
If you are arriving by car the nearest drop off point and parking is Exchange Street car park, which is directly opposite the main entrance to the theatre. This car park has a number of spaces for disabled badge holders.
If you are arriving by train Aylesbury station is about 10 minutes’ walk from the Waterside Theatre. Alternatively there is a taxi rank outside the station. You can also book a Taxi by calling Eco Cars on 01296 423282
The theatre is also about 10 minutes’ walk from the bus station.
There’s a large pedestrianised area in front of the main entrance of the theatre with level access. The glass doors are revolving, although prior to a performance the revolve is turned off and the doors become automatic sliding doors.
Once inside you will be standing in the foyer, which has glass walls and bright lighting. The interior of the foyer is inspired by the Chiltern woodlands, the trunks represented by wooden pillars.
The Box Office is straight ahead and to the left is a refreshment and merchandise kiosk where you can pick up your headsets. You can also collect large print or Braille cast lists from here.
If you would like to listen to the introductory notes, you should collect your headset in good time to take your seat fifteen minutes before the start of the performance.
To the left of the Box Office is the Waterside café and bar with table and chairs. The Café is open from 10am until show time and serves a selection of hot and cold food and beverages.
The stairs to the upper levels are on the right hand side of the foyer, or there is a lift which is situated between the box office and stairs. Underneath the stairs is a cloakroom. There are accessible toilets and bars on all levels.
Staff will be circulating in the foyer and will be able to assist you with any requirements you may have.
The auditorium seats 1200 people, on three levels, stalls, Circle 1 and Circle 2, with steps on all levels. The seats are orange, and flip up when not in use. The walls are covered with wooden panelling with the effect of stacked wooden blocks.
There are wheelchair positions in Row G of Circle 1 and Row R of the stalls.
