Leonardo da Vinci: A Mind in Motion

Audio-described tour

Discover the mind of one of the world’s greatest artists. For the first time in the UK the British Library brings together highlights from three of Leonardo da Vinci’s extraordinary notebooks to explore his fascination with motion, which he considered to be ‘the cause of all life’.

Discover Leonardo’s insights into subjects as varied as the formation of waves and air bubbles, river flow, the velocity of wind, and the nature of light and shadow.  The tour is delivered by a British Library curator.

Please meet at the Information Desk in the Entrance Hall 15 minutes before the start time. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome. If you require any other support, or have other access requirements for this tour, please contact outreach@bl.uk or phone 020 7412 7797.
