The London Borough of Merton has a rich and colourful past. Find out more in this exciting exhibition combining pictures, objects, touch, smell and sound.
Topics you can explore range from Merton’s industrial, commercial and sporting heritage, to local housing and the development of the London Underground. You can also learn about the borough’s links to Admiral Lord Nelson, designer William Morris, the women’s suffrage movement and the British film industry.
This exhibition was devised as part of the Common Sense project, a public health initiative designed to make local heritage more accessible to all members of the Merton community.
