Cambridge art gallery and house, Kettle’s Yard, is working in partnership with Cambridgeshire Older People’s Enterprise (COPE) on a new programme called Talking Together. Available to people living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Explore and discuss the Kettle’s Yard art collection through touch in a series of sessions with artist Rachel McGivern and staff from the venue. You will be sent specially created ‘raised line’ reproductions and high quality images of Kettle’s Yard artworks. Sessions will include audio descriptions of the artworks and discussions about ideas and themes inspired by the piece.
Talking Together is a new initiative that brings older adults together for engaging and stimulating conversations about topics of shared interest. This free programme offers weekly telephone-based discussion groups which are joined from the comfort of your home. No special technology is needed, just your own telephone. Each group is scheduled for 45 minutes. Registration is required.
