Live poetry performances, virtuosic contemporary juggling and incredible aerial arts. This event will host 2 live audio-described shows: Smashed2 by Gandini Juggling, and Why by Gravity and Levity. My Heart, My Heart by Live Poetry Jukebox has integrated audio description and FeelPlay by Christopher Green is an audio performance.
In this virtuosic performance from internationally recognised circus ensemble, Gandini, the dexterous manipulation of “forbidden fruit” helps skewer our assumptions about the relations between men and women. This reinvention of a street theatre classic will reverse the original male and female roles, whilst confounding expectations of traditional juggling and circus.
Gravity and Levity
This aerial duet from critically acclaimed aerial company Gravity and Levity is a re-imagining of their 2004 debut show, exploring grief, the passing of time and how we move forwards. Performed on a free-standing vertical wall and featuring the original cast with new sound and music, this achingly beautiful performance harnesses 16 years of experience in a gravity-defying tour de force.
