The four nominated artists: Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock, Oscar Murillo and Tai Shani

The Turner Prize 2019

One of the best known prizes for visual arts in the world, Turner Prize 2019 is coming to Turner Contemporary in Margate. Every other year, the Prize leaves Tate Britain and is presented at a venue outside London. Four of the most exciting artists working right now are shortlisted to win the prize based on an outstanding exhibition that has taken place in the previous year. This year’s finalists include Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock, Oscar Murillo and Tai Shani.

Join Tate staff for a free audio-described tour of the Prize at Turner Contemporary. This tour is delivered with support from Kent Association for the Blind (KAB). KAB provides a range of help and support for people of all ages whose sight loss affects their daily lives. KAB’s services services play a vital role in supporting people with sight impairment and gives them the most independent life possible.

A second tour will be held on Saturday 16 November 2019 at 2pm.
