Audio described in-house.
In the far-away land of fairy tales is a magical wood full of fantastical creatures, enchanted folk and tall pines stretching as far as the eye can see. Here, the trees see wonders as numerous as their branches – lovers in peril, witches on broomsticks, wolves in disguise… you never know what you might find. We all know the famous fairy tales and how they end… or do we?
Wolf Witch Giant Fairy, a wild folk opera of music, mischief and magic, is a new collaboration between The Royal Opera and the always innovative Little Bulb, who return to the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre in this new family-friendly show for Christmas.
Suitable for ages 5+
Event image: A picture-book drawing shows red curtains opening onto a forest at night. Amongst the trees we see a wolf with its paw raised, a witch in a black dress hiding between branches and a fairy in a gold jumpsuit flying through the air. On the ground, entangled with roots from the trees are the open pages of a book with the words, Once Upon a Time. At the back is the large red boot of a giant.
