VocalEyes are seeking several Sound Engineers and Theatre Sound Technicians to join our roster of freelancers to work with us on our programme of work.
We are an arts access organisation that creates audio description for blind and visually impaired people to experience and enjoy art and culture – at theatres, museums and heritage sites, and online.
Once lockdown restrictions are eased, we plan to be back in theatres regularly audio-describing live shows and need technicians to fit, sound-check, support/troubleshoot and strike audio-visual equipment.
We also regularly produce recorded spoken word audio resources, and audio description tracks for web-based video, for our clients and their blind and visually impaired audiences.
We need sound engineers to set up and manage recording sessions (via remote desktop to the voice’s home recording set up and occasionally in a London studio), edit and mix audio description tracks into video files, create master files; enhance audio with appropriate sound effects and fix any sound-related issues.
More details on the opportunities, and who to contact, available in the Word documents for download below.
