The National Gallery painting Flowers in a Terracotta Vase by Jan van Huysum is now on tour across the UK.
This bold, colourful composition, teeming with life, and intricate details to explore, will visit Cornwall, Norfolk, the East Midlands, South Yorkshire, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The venues will not be traditional galleries; they include a food bank, library, a covered market, a former department store and community centres. The National Gallery is collaborating closely with each location, to support access to the painting for as many visitors as possible – particularly people disproportionately affected by Covid-19 and the UK lockdowns. There is further information about the tour and its aims on The National Gallery website.
We will update this page with information about the tour, as soon as each new, surprise location is revealed.
