Access information

The address of the Theatre is Grand Canal Square, Docklands, Dublin 2. It is situated in the centre of Grand Canal Square, overlooking the dock. Cars can drop passengers off on Cardiff Lane, behind the theatre.
Limited on-street parking is available, or there is an underground car park managed by Q-Park at Grand Canal Square. Parking can be reserved atwww.qpark.ie.  Other car parks are available at Connolly Station, the NCI, Dawson Street and Setanta place, off Nassau Street.

The DART and Irish Rail services provide transport links to the theatre.  The closest DART stations are Grand Canal Dock and Pearse Street Station, both approximately 10 minutes walk from the theatre. Intercity rail, Connolly Station is approximately 20 minutes away.

Luas provide a fast and frequent tram service to within 10 minutes walk of the theatre.  The nearest Luas Stop is Mayor Square.

If you are coming by bus, routes 1, 2, 3, 50, 56a, 77 and 77a all operate to either Pearse Street or Grand Canal Dock. Full details on bus services.

The main entrance to the theatre has level access and 2 sets of glass double doors, where there will be a member of the Front of House staff. The glass fronted foyer is large and bright. Two programme stands are situated about 4 metres in front of the main doors.  The Box office is to your left, as well as lifts which provide access to all levels of the theatre.

There are bars and toilets on every level and in the auditorium. The nearest accessible toilet to the main entrance is next to the Box Office. There is a cloakroom on the lower ground floor.

Please ask a member of staff for your headset and large print or Braille cast list. If you would like to listen to the introductory notes 15 minutes before the start of the performance, you should collect your headset in good time to take your seat.
The entrance to the stalls seating is on

the ground floor. Staff will be available to direct you. Entrance to the Circle and Upper Circle seating is via the upper levels of the theatre.
The auditorium seats over 2000 people on three levels.  The seating curves round in a horseshoe style and on each level there are two aisles either side of the seating block.  In the stalls there are some steps in addition to a gentle slope down towards the stage. The seats flip up when not in use.

Guide dogs are welcome at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and can accompany their owners into the auditorium.  However, please note that Front of House staff are unable to look after guide dogs during the performance. If you are bringing your dog, please ensure that you have advised the theatre beforehand.
