Access Information for Kiln Theatre
The address of the Theatre is 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR.
Kiln Theatre proudly re-opened its doors to the public in September 2018 after a much-needed major architectural renovation that will future-proof the building for the next generation of theatregoers and theatre-makers. Our newly refurbished building allows us to:
- make our theatre accessible to everyone: in our front of house areas, in our auditorium and backstage
- improve the theatrical experience with a flexible stage, individual comfortable seating and great sightlines throughout the auditorium
- create improvements outside the auditorium, by building more toilets and opening a welcoming new café on Kilburn High Road
- unearth original features from the Foresters’ Hall and make them visible within the building
Kiln Theatre first opened as “The Tricycle Theatre” in 1980, as the permanent home of the Wakefield Tricycle Company. It was converted from an old music and dance hall. Since 1984 the theatre has produced critically acclaimed plays alongside an eclectic programme of new writing. Open seven days a week, the theatre also has an independent 300 seat cinema and gallery.
The main entrance is on the High Road, next to Brondesbury Medical Centre and opposite the Black Lion Pub. There is a second entrance on Buckley Road, which is just off Kilburn High Road. If you are arriving by car you can be dropped off at either entrance. The nearest blue badge parking spaces are directly outside the entrance on Buckley Road. There are two parking bays.
Parking is also available on the adjacent side streets. Parking is controlled between the hours of 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, including Bank Holidays. There is a two hour maximum stay and no return within two hours. Parking costs £2.50 for one hour, and £4.50 for two hours.

Leave the station, cross the road at the traffic lights on your right and then continue down the Kilburn High Road. Kiln Theatre will be on your right. The nearest Overground station is Brondesbury. Turn right outside the station and the theatre is about 150 metres along the High Road, on the right.

There are gender-neutral and accessible toilets in the main foyer, as well as in the basement. The basement toilets are accessed by stairs or a lift.
To get to the bar and café, simply follow the ramp up from the Kilburn High Road entrance and turn left just before the auditorium entrance . The bar will then be straight ahead with our John Lyon Space on your left where there is plenty of seating.
