The address of the Lawrence Batley Theatre is Queen’s Square, Queen Street, Huddersfield HD1 2SP. It’s in Huddersfield town centre, close to the university and just a minute walk from the Kingsgate shopping centre.
If you are arriving by car there’s a drop off area on Queen Street. The nearest car park is the Market Hall multi-storey in Alfred Street. There are a limited number of parking spaces for disabled badge holders on Queen Street.
The rail and bus stations are around a 10 minute walk from the Lawrence Batley Theatre. The Free Town Bus stops outside the theatre and at the bus and train stations and runs until 7pm Monday to Friday and 5.30pm on Saturday.
The main Theatre auditorium has 477 seats. Depending on how each production is staged the seating format may be altered. For further details please contact the box office. The Syngenta Cellar can accomodate up to 120 people for a performance in various layout formats. The Attic Theatre is a rehearsal or performance space for up to 60 people.
If you would like to listen to the introductory notes, you should collect your headset in good time to take your seat fifteen minutes before the start of the performance. Please ask a member of staff for your headset and Braille or large print cast list.
