New Victoria Theatre

The New Victoria Theatre is attached to the Peacocks Shopping Centre. The address is Peacocks Centre, Woking, Surrey GU21 6GQ.

The main entrance to the theatre is on level 1 of the Centre. There’s also an entrance via Gloucester Square which is situated opposite the Woking Borough Council offices.

Customers can be dropped off at the drop-off and pick-up point of the Peacocks Shopping Centre, which is on the same level as the main entrance to the theatre. The Centre has undercover parking. There are extra wide accessible parking spaces adjacent to the lifts, on levels 1, 2 and 3.

Blue Badge holders can register with Woking Borough Council so that they can be issued with a proximity card which will permit entry and exit to the Woking Borough car parks without the need to draw a ticket at the barrier or use the pay stations.

On street parking for Blue Badge holders is available in Addison Road, Chapel Street, Church Street East, Commercial Way, Duke Street, High Street and Station Approach.

The main bus stop is situated outside by Toys R Us in the Peacocks Centre and is about 10 minutes walk from the theatre. Woking Train Station is also about 10 minutes walk away.

The main entrance to the Theatre in the Peacocks Shopping Centre, on level 1, is accessible by either, lift, stairs or escalators. There are no doors, it’s an open entrance. The Box Office is immediately to your right.

The foyer is airy with upper levels and natural light coming in from large windows. There are stairs in the centre, or a ramp on the left, taking you to the upper foyer. The stairs also lead down to other levels of the theatre, or there’s an escalator and a lift.

The nearest toilets to the main entrance are situated in the upper foyer. There are bars on every level of the theatre.

You can collect your headset and Braille or large print cast lists from the Box Office. If you would like to listen to the introductory notes, you should collect your headset in good time to take your seat fifteen minutes before the start of the performance.

To get to the front stalls seating go down two levels. The rear stalls are down just one level. From the upper foyer you can get to the Royal Circle and Upper Circle. Theatre staff will be on hand to direct you.

The theatre was opened in 1992. The auditorium is modern and seats 1,300 people on three levels, Stalls, Royal Circle and Upper Circle. The floor slopes down to the stage and there are steps in all the aisles. The seats flip up when not in use.

There’s level access on the Royal Circle level where wheelchair patrons can be seated.

Guide dogs are welcome at the New Victoria Theatre Woking. If you are taking your dog into the auditorium you may wish to check with the theatre that you have a seat with sufficient room. If you do not wish to take your dog into the auditorium, theatre staff can look after your dog during the performance.
