Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre – Access Information – July 2021

The theatre is outside the congestion zone and if you are arriving by car, you can be dropped off on the inner circle near to the café, there is then a short walk to the entrance. Customers with limited mobility can be dropped off by the theatre exit gate. Parking bays are available on both the inner and outer circle’s of Regent’s Park and operate on a pay and display basis. Baker Street is half a mile away and is the closest tube station, it is served by the Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee and Metropolitan lines.  Take the exit and turn left on to Marylebone road, cross over Allsop Place, passing Madame Tussauds on your left. Take the next left on to York Gate, cross over two roads, the second of which has traffic light, after this carry on following the road into the park for approximately 600 metres, you will enter the inner circle through a large set of iron gates. Take the third pathway on your left to the theatre entrance. If you reach the fountain, then you have gone slightly too far.

Regent’s Park Tube station on the Bakerloo line and Great Portland Street on the Hammersmith and City, Circle and Metropolitan lines are also approximately twenty minutes’ walk through the park.

If you are arriving by bus, numbers 13, 18, 27, 30, 74, 82, 113, 139, 189, 274 all stop near Baker Street.

Taxis can often be hailed on the park’s inner circle.

There are no steps at the Theatre’s entrance.

The theatre is entirely outdoors so please remember to come prepared for all types of weather, including sun cream, waterproofs and jumpers. Picnic blankets and ponchos are sold on site.

Audio description is broadcast using a radio system with two kinds of receiver, a traditional stethoset and a belt-pack receiver with a standard headphone socket. If you would like to use your own headphones, do remember to bring them and ask for the appropriate receiver.
