The address of the Piccadilly Theatre is 16 Denman Street, London, W1D 7DY.
The theatre is located behind a row of buildings on the north side of Piccadilly Circus. The main entrance is on the corner of Denman Street and Sherwood Street. If you are arriving by car, there are several Q-Park and NCP car parks around the Soho area.
If you are coming by bus, numbers 24, 29 and 176 stop at Piccadilly Circus, just before Denman Street. The nearest tube stations are Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square.
Please note that there are bollards along the pavement on Denman Street to stop cars parking, which can make it very narrow. There are no taxi ranks directly outside the theatre. At the end of the show, the area can get congested as rickshaw taxis wait along the pavement.
There are three main entrances into the foyer of the theatre, two with ramped access and the third with one small step up. All entrances have glazed panel doors which are pinned open prior to a performance. Often there is music playing. There is a third ramped entrance on Sherwood Street, which leads directly to Box C where there is room for a wheelchair user and companion.
Inside the foyer the Box Office is straight ahead, where you can collect your tickets. Headsets can be collected from the cloakroom to your left. A £20 returnable deposit will be required for the headset. If you would like a large print or Braille cast list, please ask any member of the theatre staff.
The floor of the foyer is carpeted and there are three staircases – the two on the left leading up the Royal and Grand Circles, and the third staircase straight ahead leads down to the Stalls.
There are bars and toilets on every level of the theatre. Staff will be available to direct you.
Please note that there is no lift. There are 15 steps down to the Stalls level, and a further 8 to reach the Stalls Bar or the toilets. To get to the Royal Circle there are some 15 steps up and for the Grand Circle 70 steps.
All the bars open 45 minutes before the performance.
The Auditorium has a traditional proscenium arch with 3 levels – stalls, Royal circle and grand circle – seating approximately 1200 people. The seats flip up when not in use. In the Stalls, the seating is arranged in one block, with an aisle either side. The floor slopes down towards the stage, with 4 steps about half way along. The Royal and Grand Circles have central aisles and side aisles.
Wheelchair positions are in Box C and there is transfer seating in the Royal Circle. Please advise the Box Office if you require either of these.
Please note that this information has been supplied by the venue and although every effort has been made to check details, you may still have some queries. In this case, we would ask you to contact the theatre direct for clarification.
