The Pomegranate Theatre is a beautiful Grade II-listed Victorian 546-seat proscenium arch theatre based in the town centre of Chesterfield. The Pomegranate Theatre presents a programme of professional touring drama, music, dance, and a very popular star studded pantomime. In addition, the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield, presents Pomegranate Screenings – an ongoing programme of latest films and satellite broadcasts using state of the art cinema equipment. The Pomegranate Theatre is also hired by local amateur groups who stage their own performances.
Chesterfield is just 10 minutes from junction 29 of the M1 motorway via the A617. From all routes follow signs to Chesterfield Town Centre, both venues are located in close proximity to the ‘Crooked Spire Church’. Car parks are well signposted.
There are a number of large car parks close to the theatres. Outside the Pomegranate Theatre there is a small number of spaces for blue badge holders.
The Pomegranate is within easy walking distance of all town centre bus stops.
Exit Chesterfield Station bearing left. Keeping the Chesterfield Hotel on your right, cross the footbridge to Corporation Street; the Pomegranate is situated on your left.

The Pomegranate Theatre will only open to the public for events and performances, including 60 minutes before the show so that people can pick up tickets booked online or buy them on the day. Seating plans for the Pomegranate Theatre can be viewed here.

Car Parking There is currently 1 dedicated disabled parking space outside the main entrance of the Pomegranate Theatre. And, there are a number of car parks close to the Theatres and Visitor Information Centre with disabled parking. Details of parking within Chesterfield can be found here.
Emergency procedures are in place at all our venues to assist anyone with a disability to exit the venue safely in the event of an evacuation. Equipment is installed to assist with this on stairways and staff members are trained regularly in its use.
The Pomegranate Theatre has designated spaces in the stalls/auditorium for wheelchair users, and have adapted toilets. Please be aware that health and safety regulations require that users remain in the wheelchair during performances.
