The basement lounge has its design based on the Queen Mary liner. The theatre produces eight  plays every year, mostly comedies and musicals. The shows have a Liverpool theme with largely Liverpool cast and crew. If you want  a real Liverpool theatre experience, get down to The Court.

There is full disabled access to the stalls level.

The seats that are accessible to wheelchair users are either in the front four rows (A,B,C and D) or on the back row near to the bar or toilets. These can be booked by groups of any size.

If you would like a specific section then please ask when you book and we will do our best to ensure that you are seated in that area. We cannot guarantee seats in a particular area as it depends on the number of wheelchair places already booked and the sizes of their groups.

We now have a lift that provides access to all levels but there is no wheelchair accessible seating in the circle or balcony.

If you have access requirements then we ask that you aim to arrive half an hour before the performance start time to ensure easy access to your seats.

We now have an Assistive Listening system in place (similar to a loop system). We are using Sennheiser Mobile Connect which is an app that can be downloaded to your own phone and you can bring your own headphones if you choose.  If you don’t have a smartphone or need to borrow some headphones then just let us know.

There will be an Audio Described performance and a British Sign Language performance for most shows, please check each show page or call Box Office for details.

Please inform the Box Office of any access needs when you book. T
