Access Information:

The address of Warwick Arts Centre is Gibbet Hill Road, Coventry, University of Warwick, CV4 7AL. The Arts Centre is situated in the Greenfield site of the University, between Coventry and Kenilworth, three miles from Coventry city Centre.

If you are travelling by car, Warwick Arts centre is served by the A45, A46, M40 and M42, On approaches to Coventry, follow the signs to Warwick Arts Centre or the University of Warwick. You can be dropped off outside Senate House, where there are gentle sloping ramps that provide easy access into the building.

The nearest car park is Car Park 7, which is approximately 125 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free Monday to Friday after 6pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. The car park is pay and display at all other times. Car Park 8 is multi-storey, and 7 minutes walk, and Car Park 15, also multi-storey, 10 minutes.

There are 30 dedicated parking spaces on the ground floor level in Car Park 7 for customers with limited mobility. Blue badge parking is available, on allocated nights, on a first come first served basis, in front of Senate House. Information on parking arrangements is sent out to customers on the Warwick Arts Centre Access Mailing list before the start of each season. If you are travelling by bus, regular services run between Coventry, Leamington and Kenilworth which will drop you off outside the Arts Centre. Bus number 12 and Unibus are the main two buses serving the campus. A bus terminal is located outside the Arts Centre, approximately 100 metres from the nearest entrance.

The nearest mainline train station is Coventry. From Coventry station you can catch the number 12 bus, which takes approximately 15 minutes, or you can take a taxi.

The Arts Centre building is modern in design and the main entrance has glass doors. The interior of the foyer is large and airy with steps, and ramps with handrails. The Arts Centre houses a studio, a theatre, a cinema, meeting, rehearsal and conference rooms, a gallery and the Butterworth concert Hall.

If you require any assistance please ask one of the stewards who will be on hand, and happy to help.

From the ground floor you can get too many of the spaces, including the Butterworth Hall, the Studio, Cinema and a book shop. There is a Cafe Bar opposite the Box Office. The theatre, the bar and other spaces are accessed using either a lift or stairs. The lift is next to the book shop.

The cafe bar is open 8am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and sometimes on Sundays, 3pm to 9pm, depending on the programme. There is also a restaurant, Le Gusta.

If you would like to listen to the introductory notes, you should collect your headset in good time to take your seat fifteen minutes before the start of the performance. Please ask a member of staff for your headset and Braille or large print cast list.

The seating in the studio is flexible, so layout will depend on the nature of the production. In the theatre there are 550 seats, with stepped aisles in between the seating blocks.

At Warwick Arts Centre assistance dogs are welcome. If you do want your dog to stay with you in the auditorium please make sure you have let the Box Office know, so they can arrange for enough space for you and your dog. Staff will also be happy to look after your dog during the performance if you prefer.
